Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Vilnius

Welcome to Vilnius. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Relax or spend time exploring the wonders of this city. Free time and overnight in Vilnius.

Day 2: Full day tour in Vilnius and Trakai

After breakfast meeting with your professional guide. A day to discover Vilnius Old Town. It is one of the most beautiful historical heritage in the Easter Europe. Walking on foot you will visit main places of interest of Vilnius – The Cathedral and its square, the Tower of Gediminas, the symbol of Vilnius and Lithuania. Gediminas Castle was built in about 1230 is one of the most famous castles of Lithuania. Also visit Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, Vilnius University courtyards, Gothic St. Anne’s church and Bernardine’s monastery complex, the Gates of dawn with Virgin Mary painting, Town Hall square.  Tour proceeds to Trakai – the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In Trakai you will visit medieval Insular Trakai Castle surrounded by lakes and housing the exhibition of Sacral Art.  Later short drive to Užutrakis manor, famous manor on the Galvė lake shore. In the evening you will come back to Vilnius for overnight.

Day 3: Full day tour to Kaunas and Panemune castle

After breakfast meeting with your guide. Trip to Kaunas – second largest city of Lithuania. In Kaunas you will visit the old town and Kaunas Castle ruins, which is a bit mysterious to archaeologists, as many facts about it remain unknown, but it’s believed, that Kaunas Castle was built in XIV century. Also, you will visit the Town Hall and Cathedral, the Church of Vytautas, Perkūnas House (Thunder House), will visit the most famous Lithuanian composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis National art museum. Later you will drive to visit the pearl of baroque – seventeenth century Pažaislis monastery and church of the Blessed Virgin Mary visitation complex. After lunch, trip to Raudondvaris manor – monument of the beginning of the 17^th century of Renaissance architecture in Lithuania. Further drive to Raudonė castle (16^th), from which tower you could admire the beautiful view of the surroundings. Drive to the magnificent castle of Panemune, which was build more than 400 years ago. Overnight in the castle.

Day 4: Full day tour to Klaipėda and Palanga

After breakfast meeting with your guide. Drive to the seaside of Lithuania. First, you will visit Klaipėda – international sea port. Klaipėda is unique for its Old Town, which is an outstanding example of German architecture. You will visit Klaipėda Castle, which was successfully returned into nice museum full of interesting exhibits and past atmosphere. Next drive to Palanga. Visit estate of count Feliksas Tiškevičius located in beautiful surroundings by botanical gardens. Estate houses the exposition of amber includes more than 4500 exhibits, what is more, visitors are able to get aquainted with the history of amber. Free time in the evening and overnight in Palanga.

Day 5: Full day tour to Šiauliai and Pakruojis Manor

After breakfast meeting with your guide. Short drive to Kretinga Manor – a distinguishing architectural and nature monument. The beautiful park, Winter Garden and interesting expositions in the beautiful estate building are real historical values.  Further drive to Mykolas Oginskis Palace (Plungė Manor). It was built in the late of 16^th and later become famous for its musical traditions, a professional orchestra, feasts organised by the hosts of the manor, scientific, technological and economic innovations. Drive to Šiauliai. You will visit Chaimas Frenkelis Villa and hear the history of Frenkl family and the modern to that times building. Excursion in Šiauliai and time for a lunch. Trip to Pakruojis Manor (16^th). Classicist style Pakruojis manor ensemble is one of the five most valuable and largest (occupying the area of 48.2 hectares, out of from 43 former buildings 34 survived) remaining manors in Lithuania. Free time and overnight in Pakruojis Manor.

Day 6: Full day tour through manors of northern Lithuania

After breakfast meeting with your guide. Trip to Biržai Castle – it is a Dutch-style fortress with bastions. Castle was used to defend Lithuania’s northern borders in the 17^th -18^th centuries. You will see a permanent warfare exhibition in castle's arsenal houses. Further drive to Ilzenberg Manor – where you could have a carriage ride through magnificent hills with panoramic scenery and taste Ilzenberg Farm products: milk, cheese, bread, fruits, bee honey… Drive and overnight in Bistrampolis Manor.

Day 7: Full day tour to Anykščiai and Burbiškis Manor

After breakfast meeting with your guide. Drive to Anykščiai. There you could take a walk high above the ground, at the level of treetops on The Treetop Walking Path. It enables visitors to observe the praised Anykščiai Pinewood, admire the winding Šventoji River, and see the towers of St. Matthew Church, which is the tallest church in Lithuania. Drive to Burbiškis Manor – a 19^th century architectural monument and a pearl of the neoclassical era, enchanting with its subtlety and elegance. Guide will tell stories and rumors about the former life in the Manor and will take you to the observation tower and other impressive places of the Manor. In the evening trip to Vilnius and overnight.

Day 8: Departure day

Breakfast at your hotel and free time in the morning. Private transfer from your hotel to Vilnius airport for your flight home.

Castles and Manors Tour price is from 1400 Eur per person based on availability and two people sharing a standard twin or double room.
