Day 1: Arrival in Vilnius
Welcome to Vilnius. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Relax or spend time exploring the wonders of this city. Free time and overnight in Vilnius.
Day 2: Full day tour in Vilnius and Trakai
After breakfast meeting with your guide. A day to discover Vilnius and Trakai. Walking on foot you will visit main places of interest of Vilnius – The Cathedral and its square, the Tower of Gediminas, Vilnius university courtyards, Gothic St. Anne’s church and Bernardine’s monastery complex, the Gates of dawn with Virgin Mary painting, Town Hall square. Next you will go by the car to visit Baroque pearl of Lithuania – St. Peter’s and Paul’s church. Later drive to Trakai – the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In Trakai you will visit medieval Insular Trakai Castle surrounded by lakes and housing the exhibition of Sacral Art. During the excursion guide will introduce you with the Karaites history and heritage, also will offer to try traditional dish – kibinai. In the evening you will come back to Vilnius for overnight. Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 3: Full day tour to Kaunas and Klaipėda
After breakfast in hotel meeting with your guide. Drive to the seaside with stop in Kaunas – second largest town of Lithuania. In Kaunas you will visit the old town and its main sightseeing objects – fourteenth century Kaunas castle ruins, the Town Hall and Cathedral, the Church of Vytautas, Perkūnas House (Thunder House), will walk through the Laisvės avenue, will visit the most famous Lithuanian composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis National art museum. Later you will drive to visit the pearl of baroque – seventeenth century Pažaislis monastery and church of the Blessed Virgin Mary visitation complex. Further drive to Klaipėda. Accommodation and overnight.
Day 4: Full day tour to Curonian Spit
After breakfast meeting with your guide. You will visit the Curonian Spit. Morning ferry to Neringa - visit to Juodkrantė, climb the Hill of Witches decorated with wooden sculptures. Stop at a bird sanctuary for the breathtaking view. Further drive to Nida - a small old fishermen village famous for its beautiful seashore sand dunes. Visit Thomas Mann's summerhouse, Sun’s clock, neo-gothic church and old ethnographic cemetery, climb to the “Death” dune. In the evening trip back to Klaipeda for overnight.
Day 5: Full day tour to Riga
After breakfast meeting with your guide. Drive to Riga – the capital of Latvia. On the route you will have few stops. First stop – Palanga – the main seaside resort of Lithuania. Visit Palanga Botanic Park with 22 meters-high dune called Birute Hill, Tiskeviciai Palace better known as Amber Museum, the bridge of Palanga, main Basanavičius street with numerous shops, cafes, etc. Further drive to the Hill of Crosses, which has over 100000 crosses. The Hill of Crosses is unique historical and architectural monument, unique composition of folk art. From this hill Pope John Paul II blessed all Lithuanian people and Cristians of Europe. Further drive to Riga. Free time in the evening and overnight in Riga.
Day 6: Half day excursion in Riga
After breakfast in hotel meeting with your guide. You will have full day to visit Riga. Walking on foot visit old town with main sightseeing places – Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral and square, “Three Brothers”, the Old Guild houses, the house of Blackheads, St. Peter’s church, Riga St. Jacobs Cathedral, and much more. Visit for the shopping one of the oldest and largest markets in Europe – Central Riga market. Overnight in Riga.
Day 7: Full day tour to Sigulda
After breakfast in hotel meeting with your guide. Drive to Sigulda. You will drive through the picturesque Gauja National Park – most famous park of Latvia, and will visit Turaida medieval castle and museum, the ruins of the thirteenth century Livonian Order Castle of Sigulda, old Gutman’s Cave, drive for the visit ancient cozy town Cesis with its castle ruins, park etc. In the evening arrival to Sigulda. Accommodation and overnight.
Day 8: Full day tour to Tallinn
After breakfast in hotel meeting with your guide. Departure to Tallinn with a stop in Pärnu, Estonian “Summer Capital”. This little town has been known as a summer health resort since the first spa opened here in the 1830s. Short walk through the white sand beach; visit Ammende Villa, which is a very nice example of the art nouveau style building. A further drive to Tallinn with en route stop in Estonian open-air museum Rocca al Mare, housing exhibition of Estonian folk. In the evening arrival to Tallinn. Accommodation and overnight
Day 9: Full day tour in Tallinn
After breakfast in hotel meeting with your guide. Full day to discover Tallinn. Visit old town and its objects of interest – Toompea Castle and Tower’s square, Great Coastal Gate and Fat Margaret tower, Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas, The Dome church, nineteenth century St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Town Hall square, the Old Guild. In the afternoon drive to Kadriorg Palace – Kadriorg Art museum, also visit Kadriorg park. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10: Departure day
Breakfast at your hotel and free time in the morning. Private transfer from your hotel to Tallinn/Vilnius/Riga airport for your flight home.
